I’ve driven Melbourne weddings since 2004. This is the one question I wish every couple asked before paying a deposit.

Search “wedding limousine Melbourne” today and you’ll find pages of companies with beautiful photos and sharp promises.
When I started in 2004, nearly every limo company you could find owned the cars it advertised. Over the years that’s changed. More and more of the businesses at the top of Google, and in your social feed, don’t own a single limousine.
A lot of “limousine companies” don’t own a limousine
This is how it works. A website shows lovely photos of lots of different limousines. You book your wedding cars and pay the deposit. Then they ring around the people who actually own the cars, trying to sell your booking to whoever’s free that day.
I know, because they ring me. They offer me wedding jobs they’ve already booked and taken deposits for, in cars they don’t own.
Sometimes they find an owner with the right car free and it works out fine. Sometimes they can’t find the car you booked at all. Rather than tell you and lose the booking, they quietly book whatever they can get, and you find out on the morning when a different car pulls into the driveway.
Most couples don’t know they can ask to inspect the car before they book. You don’t even have to go and look. Just asking the question tells you straight away whether you’re dealing with an actual limousine company or a middleman.
That’s why I’ve always dealt with every couple myself personally: bridal expos, phone calls, face to face. When you ring us, the person who answers is me, and the car I quote you is one I own.
“Can I inspect the car before I book?”
An owner will say yes on the spot. A middleman can’t, because the car isn’t theirs to show you.
Why I shipped a Mercedes to the U.S.
Almost every stretch limousine in Australia is a Chrysler. They are beautiful cars (we have 2 of them), but I wanted to give my couples something they couldn’t get anywhere else, so I bought a Mercedes, shipped it to the U.S. to be stretched, and shipped it all the way back. It’s the only Mercedes GLE stretch limousine in Australia.

What you’re actually paying for
The car gets you there. The experience is what you remember.
When Chelsea got married, Ron was her driver. Just before she walked down the aisle, he helped her arrange her wedding dress. Afterwards she wrote:
“Something I’ll never forget. It’s those thoughtful little touches that made such a big difference and showed how much he genuinely cared.”

Nobody puts that in a package. It happens when the people behind your limousine service genuinely care about your day and have a reputation to uphold. You’re not just paying for a limousine. You’re paying for the limousine that you chose, to be there exactly when it should be, with people who care to make your day an amazing and memorable experience.
